T

he Rose Cut dates back to the

1500s and is considered a classic.

The diamond or another stone is cut

to resemble the petals of a rose, with

triangular facets imitating the narrow

spiralling of a rose petal. The stone

is flat on the bottom, which creates

a larger surface area for it to sparkle.
